The U.S.-based hypercar manufacturer Shelby SuperCars (SSC) has published some initial images of its brand new and still unnamed hypercar.
The company, which had earlier demonstrated some superb car tuning skills with their Ford Mustang redesign, had an ambitious claim to make when it stated that its standing in the automotive industry “will never be the same again” after the release of this new vehicle.
While no further details have been revealed to date, industry professionals are positive that the new vehicle is none other than a mass-produced version of the SSC Tuatara Concept demonstrated by the company full six years ago. The prototype hypercar was equipped with a 6.9-liter, 1350-horsepower V8 and should have entered mass production in 2015 – but never did.
SSC had earlier become famous for its other hypercar, Ultimate Aero, which could accelerate to 412 km/h (256 mph). It could therefore be assumed that the new SSC Tuatara Concept is going to be at least as fast as its predecessor.
