Ford has shown the first images of new Fusion

The new Fusion Hybrid has high-end computer and fewer sensors with more streamlined look.

The company has released a video with a brief overview of the car that equipped with the Lidar self-driving tech. The main difference from other autonomous models lies in the fact that cameras and other bits are not bulky smoothly cos they are built into the roof. Thereby the new self-driving Fusion looks like an ordinary car.

The autopilot computer has become faster. It is housed in the trunk and generates 1 terabyte of data an hour to do AI, navigation, object recognition and computer vision.

Presentation of the new generation of Fusion Hybrid will be next month at CES in Las Vegas and Detroit North American Motor Show. Ford will build 90 of the vehicles and test them in California, Arizona and Michigan over the next few years. The carmaker plans to deliver new Fusion to car markets by 2021.
