The current Formula One logo is 24 years old. Apparently, the company has finally decided that it is time for a change. A new logo, which has been recently presented to the public, will replace the old one as early as the beginning of 2018.
A curious fact: despite the long history of F1, this is only the 4th time its logo gets updated.
It bears mentioning that earlier this year Chase Carey replaced Bernie Ecclestone as the CEO of FIA Formula One World Championship.
He is assisted by Sean Bratches, ESPN Vice President, and Ross Brown, ex-CTO of Benetton, Ferrari and Brawn GP.
Rebranding isn’t the only change occurring in the F1 world. Year 2021 may introduce new motor regulations to the racing event. Many participant teams, however, voiced their disapproval of the change which mainly enables owners of cars with simpler, cheaper hybrid engines to enter the race as well.
