Specialists of the American auto giant General Motors have presented a futuristic development - a cargo platform, driven by an electric motor, which is powered by fuel cells.
According to the developers, the SURUS platform is designed to transport cargo in difficult road conditions. The machine is offered to be used in the elimination of the consequences of natural disasters and local conflicts. The official presentation of the platform will be held within the framework of the meeting of the US Army Association from 9 to 11 October.
SURUS is a conglomerate of the newest Hydrotec system on fuel cells, autonomous control systems and a cargo chassis. The vehicle received two electric motors, a fully controlled chassis, a fuel cell system, a hydrogen tank and other innovative developments.
According to the company's representatives, the car will be able to overcome almost 650 kilometers without recharging.
