Indian hypercar Shul debuts at Goodwood

The Indian car enterprise Vazirani Automotive has come to the recently ended Goodwood Festival of Speed with a full-size model of its first all-electric hypercar named Shul.

The vehicle was designed with the participation of Kazunori Yamauchi, one of the developers of the video game Gran Turismo. Further contributions were made by country’s national F1 team Force India and Michelin.

The new Vazirani Shul uses an all-carbon space-frame chassis and body. Its all-electric powertrain consists of a microturbine generator and four electric motors with so far undisclosed performance characteristics. The vehicle is driven by a lithium-ion traction battery that weighs 300 kg (660 lb).

The company representatives have previously pointed out that they prioritized perfectly responsive steering over top going speed and acceleration.

The Vazirani Shul series will be assembled in the U.S. state of California. Its first field tests should begin later this year.
