Kahn unveils a luxury take on the famous TX4 London taxi cab

The London Taxi Company (recently renamed to “London EV Company”) is gradually removing its old-and-trusty TX4 cars from the streets. Even as it does so, Kahn Design strives to save the iconic Hackney Carriage from fading completely into oblivion.

The renowned tuning atelier has recently come out with a luxed-out version of the TX4. On the outside, the car sports a blacked-out radiator grille, tinted windows and a Rolls-Royce-like two-tone paintjob (five different combinations available).

However, most of the luxury can be found inside of the car. There is an abundance of perforated Nappa leather, the trademark Rolls-Royce LED headliner reminiscent of a starry sky, and the Piano Black dashboard finish.

Reportedly, Kahn Design has also boosted the diesel engine of the car, but no further details are available at the moment.

Kahn Design has already sold three modded cars. More importantly, the original manufacturer lauded it on a job well done: “There was only one person for the job, Afzal Kahn”, an LTC representative said.
