Karma Automotive has recently renamed its car factory in Moreno Valley, California to ‘Innovation & Customization Center’. The company plans to launch production of the next-gen Karma Revero hybrid supercar series there soon. In the meantime, it has built a one-off collector masterpiece called the Karma Revero Black Ocean Edition.
The goal of the unique sports car is to show Karma’s dedication to producing exclusive bespoke vehicles.
According to the official announcement, the Karma Revero Black Ocean features 80+ custom elements, ranging from the painstakingly hand-painted body to the highly individualized exterior and cabin.
The mass-issue Karma Revero ships with an electric engine duo rated at around 410 hp (306 kW) along with a whopping 1,330 Newton-meters (981 pound-feet) of maximum torque. Assisting these is a 2.0-liter turbocharged gas engine with 238 hp (177 kW) that serves as a power source for the 20.8 kWh battery. The car can travel up to 80 kilometers (50 miles) on electric power alone.
The next generation of the Revero will soon make its first public appearance at the 2019 Auto Shanghai to go on sale in 2H 2019.
