Lister Motor, a retro hypercar builder who has made a recent comeback, has officially confirmed its plans to bring a new hypercar named Lister Storm II to the 88th International Motor Show in Geneva, Switzerland, on March 8 through 18, 2018.
Predictably enough, the vehicle is a direct descendant of the original Lister Storm. Its release has been planned by the company beginning as early as 2014, which means that it took four years to design, polish and build. That’s an intriguingly long term, so we just might be in for something completely special.
According to an insider source, the new Lister Storm II gets a monstrous 7.8L V12 engine with 1,000+ hp. All those horses are almost guaranteed to accelerate it to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under three seconds and take it all the way up to 400 km/h (250 mph) or perhaps even more – and that’s where things get really interesting.
It has earlier been announced that each Lister Storm II would be priced at around £2,000,000. Only 12 Lister vehicles will roll off the assembly lines each year, including six race-only and six street-legal models.
