In January we have already written about plans of the English McLaren company to bring the successor of 650S coupe to Geneva auto show. Now it is some curious information about the future novelty which will receive 720S index . The car will be equipped with the inflatable V8 4.0 engine, and, judging by a name of the new model, the capacity of the power plant can make all 720 h.p. British already officially confirmed that to acceleration to two hundred on a speedometer 720S it will require 7,8 seconds. A pleasant addition would be the highlight of the engine compartment, which will be activated after unlocking the door.
The car mass will make 1283 kilograms (650S weighed 18 kg more). To facilitate the body engineers applied a new monocoque from a coal plastic, thanks to which racks became slightly thinner, thresholds were depressed and the doorway was increased. Coupes are also equipped with the new exhaust system which, on the assertions of the automaker, will emphasize the special power of the engine. Electronics of the sports car provides a special drift mode.
Total characteristics of 720S will become known during an official debut of the car within March showroom in Geneva.
