An interesting video showing the ultimate acceleration contest between two estate cars – a Porsche Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo and a Mercedes-AMG E 63 S – has recently been posted online.
The vehicles completed two drag races: a quarter-mile and a half-mile. The first entry is a Mercedes-AMG E 63 S which packs a powerful twin-turbo V8 with 612 hp and 850 Nm of torque under its disposal. It accelerates 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.5 seconds and can reach 250 km/h.
The other contender, a Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Turbo, comes equipped with a four-liter, twin-turbo V8 good for 550 hp and 770 Nm of torque. It achieves the same acceleration in 3.8 seconds.
