Morgan Motor Company has unveiled the Plus 8 GTR, an homage to the Plus 8 racers of the late 1990s. A total of nine such vehicles will be built on an aluminum chassis.
The exterior draws inspiration from the famous Plus 8 racer known as the Big Blue. This is especially apparent in the stretched fenders and the centerlock wheels. Other features include ceramic exhaust finishers, a rear diffuser, a front splitter, tall doors, and a top with a slit for fresh air.
Power isprovided by the same old BMW N62 engine, although its exact specs remain in the GTR version unknown. The standard car had 367 PS (362 hp / 270 kW) and 490 Nm (361 lb-ft) of torque. Buyers are free to choose between six-speed manual and automatic.
The production will start in summer.
