Morris Commercial, a startup car company, has resurrected the legendary Morris J-type minivan that used to be produced between 1949 and 1961. The new car matches the old one as far as the looks are concerned, but relies on an electric motor to propel it forward.
According to the company, the Morris J-type is neither a restomod nor a simple continuation of the series. Instead, it is a re-imagination of the original design from the 1950s with some subtle modern features thrown in.
The bodywork largely consists of carbon fiber, which reduces the overall weight of the car and extends its range to 200 miles (322 kilometers). The declared weight capacity is one metric ton (2,205 lbs), and you can easily fit two Euro-pallets inside the cargo area using the split doors in the back or the slide door at the side.
Nothing is being revealed about the drivetrain, aside from the fact that it has been designed in Great Britain.
