The North American International Auto Show, also known as the Detroit Motor Show, has traditionally taken place in January for the past several decades. It had been expected to occur in summer this year, but the pandemic messed up those plans. Now, the organizing committee behind the event changed the schedule once again – but don’t hasten to blame Covid-19 this time around.
The newest version of the schedule says the next NAIAS is penciled in for September 29 – October 9, 2021, and all future shows will be held at these approximate dates from now on.
According to the NAIAS CEO Rod Alberts, the vast majority of the participants are perfectly fine with this new schedule, because moving the show to springtime would have resulted in too busy of a schedule for everyone also attending the Los-Angeles and New York shows.
