New Alpina B4 S Edition 99 makes Geneva show guests nostalgic about the 1970s era

Dedicated BMW tuner Alpina has come to the international auto show in Geneva, Switzerland with a sports car from its latest limited series called “B4 S Edition 99”. As you can guess from the title, the company plans to limit production to 99 units.

The body design of the B4 S Edition 99 mimics that of BMW Alpina racecars that used to be quite popular back in the 1970s. The today’s display car dons the same dual-tone livery that combines Fiery Orange with Anthracite Grey. If you happen to prefer a different tint, the tuner has several to offer.

The vehicle rides on a set of 20-inch Alpina Classis alloy wheels, and benefits from an improved version of the Sport Plus Suspension as well as an Akrapovic titanium exhaust system. Compared to the regular B4 S, the limited-issue car also boasts a stronger body and chassis.

The hood cover opens to reveal a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six engine with 452 hp (337 kW) and 660 Nm (487 lbft) of torque at its disposal. The AWD variant of the car concludes the standard sprint in 3.9 seconds, while the RWD variant manages the same in 4.2s.
