New Fisker CUV EV pronounced yet another Tesla Model Y rival

Car manufacturer Fisker has released the first image showing its upcoming all-electric crossover utility vehicle, whose market name has not been decided upon yet. The company says the car will compete for customer attention in the same market segment as the Tesla Model Y.

Packing a pair of electric engines and an 80 kWh battery, the car can cover up to 480 kilometers (300 miles) before charging becomes necessary.

One of the principal features of the model comes in the form of a sunroof that you can either take off completely or slide open using a special mechanism. This way you can enjoy sunlight and fresh air anytime you wish – and rest assured that you can slide it back on whenever necessary.

Fisker claims its new CUV gets a spacious interior, an infotainment system with an advanced GUI, and a large HUD. As a performance vehicle, it packs a number of features normally reserved for sports cars – although there is no further information available right now.

The manufacturer hopes to introduce a pre-production version of the car before the end of 2019. Once it arrives on the U.S. market, the company says it will be priced at $40,000.
