New Pininfarina hypercar has the power to impress

The Italian luxury coachbuilder Pininfarina has torn the veil off the latest concept hypercar developed for the Hong Kong automaker Hybrid Kinetic Group. It’s a shame that the company still doesn’t know if the vehicle makes it into production, and even if it does, that’s going to happen in a few years from now.

The all-new Pininfarina HK GT carries four electric engines together capable of producing up to 1,088 horsepower. At the first glance, its battery capacity seems quite low – only enough for 160 km (100 mi) driving range or so. But this is beside the point. The hypercar comes with an on-board power generator which can produce extra electricity operating on regular fossil fuel, natural gas, or even hydrogen cells. It is with this add-on that the car can go as far as 1,000 kilometers (620 mi) before running out of juice.

The vehicle concludes the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint in 2.7 seconds and can accelerate to a top speed of 350 km/h (217.5 mph).

The interior of the brand-new Pininfarina HK GT hypercar successfully combines luxury and minimalism. It’s still too early to discuss any of the details, as well as the car’s release date and price, so let’s just wait and see what develops.
