Vanderhall has unveiled the 2020 update of its Carmel three-wheeler, a manually assembled car model that strives to combine the dynamics of a motorcycle with the comfort level of a convertible.
The bike-shaped car weighs in at 723 kilograms (1,595 lbs) and comes powered by a 1.5-liter engine good for 203 hp (152 kW). It sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.5 seconds, leaving behind both the 2.3- and 5.0-liter versions of the Ford Mustang.
Customers may choose from three available trim configurations. The entry-level one comes with a U.S. $34,950 price tag attached and includes 18-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, roll stabilization, power steering, heated seats, Bluetooth audio and other goodies. The paint is always black.
The standard version comes at a $5,000 premium and adds 19-inch wheels, a higher-quality interior trim, a paddle shifter, LED headlights, and two paint schemes to choose between.
The range-topper costs $43,950 and introduces sun visors, a sports-grade windshield, a leather trim, and a specially designed exhaust system.
All variants come strictly front-axle-driven by a six-speed automatic transmission.
