On the eve of the presentation, the German company
posted on its page in Twitter a design sketch of the most compact crossover in
the model line.
According to the LED head optics, integrated into a
massive grille is clear that the appearance of Volkswagen T-Roc is made in the
style of the eponymous prototype shown in Geneva three years ago.
T-Roc will be the smallest crossover in the line of
the brand. It will be built on the basis of the architecture of MQB A0, earlier
used in the hatchbacks Seat Ibiza and Volkswagen Polo.
It is assumed that new item engines include petrol
engines working volume of 1.0 to 1.8 liters of capacity from 105 to 190 forces
and diesel units of 1.6 and 2.0 liters capacity of 115 horsepower and 150
respectively. Work will put them together with a six-speed mechanics or a
seven-band robotic transmission with two clutches.
Premiere Volkswagen T-Roc will be held on August 23,
and before the public compact crossover will appear in early autumn at the Frankfurt
Motor Show.
