Novitec unveils Ferrari Portofino customization program

German tuner Novitec has released a wide range of aftermarket options and accessories for the Ferrari Portofino convertible. The opulent successor of the famous Ferrari California gained a new body kit, forged wheels, adjustable suspension, an exhaust system to rival those found in F1 racecars, and individual interior, and a performance upgrade.

Starting with the latter, the tuner offers fitting the 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine of the car with its trademark Novitec N-Tronic control chip and a performance exhaust system. This takes the output from the stock 600 hp (447 kW) and 760 Nm (561 lbft) of torque to 684 hp (510 kW) and 871 Nm (642 lbft). The upgraded car sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.2s (stock: 3.5s) and tops out at 325 km/h, or 202 mph (stock: 320 km/h, or 199 mph).

The exhaust system warrants a separate mention, since you can order it made from Inconel, an extremely heat-resistant nickel-chrome alloy commonly used in the production of Formula One racecars. A valve that you can use to tweak the sound of your exhaust system is also available as an option.

The aerodynamic kit is made of visual carbon fiber and consists of a front spoiler, air intake rims for the bumper, hood, and front fenders, side skirts, side mirror caps, and an aggressive-looking rear apron with a modestly-sized spoiler lip.

Among other things, the Ferrari Portofino by Novitec boasts new forged wheels the tuner created in collaboration with U.S.-based company Vossen Wheels. The wheels are available in 21 and 22 inches, as well as two different designs and two finishes (brushed and polished). New adjustable suspension ensures that the wheels look perfect within their respective arches.

As for the interior, Novitec will use generous amounts of top-quality leather and Alcantara to overhaul the cabin according to all of your needs and whims.
