Panasonic has presented a completely autonomous car – the company’s own development – at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las-Vegas, U.S.A.
According to an official brand representative, the vehicle received the fifth-level self-drive system (that’s the highest level available).
Perhaps the most striking feature of the newcomer is the total lack of any kind of control pedals or even a steering wheel. The passenger seats are positioned facing each other, and the entire passenger compartment can be freely turned into a living room or a study. There is a climate control and air purifier unit, and interior lighting marketed as “the most comfortable for your eyes.”
Another remarkable feature comes in the form of an AI-backed virtual assistant connected with a cloud service. Then there is a modern infotainment system with powerful 3D sound and displays mounted on the sides and the ceiling – something that’ll keep the passengers entertained, for sure.
Panasonic claims that their highly futuristic prototype car will eventually be perceived as the status-quo means of everyday transportation.
