Citroën company organized closed presentation of DS 7 Crossback crossover, which will be shown to the public next week at Geneva auto show. The car will become flagman model of the French brand.
Dimensions of DS 7 Crossback make 4570/1890/1620 mm, wheelbase makes 2740 mm. The basis of the new crossover is EMP2 platform with a fully independent multi-link rear suspension. It is also interesting that rigidness of shock-absorbers is regulated by electronics, which puts the correct settings in advance, based on the received information from the forward-looking camera.
Under the hood of the hybrid version of a novelty there is 1,8-liter petrol motor. Together with the internal combustion engine (ICE) work two electric motors at each of shafts, which charge from the block of ion and lithium batteries with a capacity of 12-13 kWh. The general power of a hybrid will make 300 h.p. Transmission is presented by 8-staged "automatics". Other versions will be equipped with gasoline engine 1.2 PureTech with a power of 130 h.p. (transmission — 6-band "mechanics"), 1.6 THP with a power of 225 h.p. or 2.0 BlueHDi turbodiesel with an output power of 180 h.p. (transmission in two latests version is presented by 8-staged hydromechanical "automatics").
Assembly of the crossover will happen at the same time in China and in Mulhouse at the plant of French city. Sales will start from China. DS 7 Crossback have to compete for the consumer with Germans in the face of Audi Q5 and BMW X4.
