Pininfarina PF0 new details revealed

Italy-based car boutique Pininfarina has released a video where it tells us some details about the upcoming PF0 hypercar. The vehicle will be present at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance opening in a few days. However, the premiere will be part of a closed event dedicated to those willing to buy.

The news concerns the engine of the new car. Reportedly, the Pininfarina PF0 will be driven by four electric motors with 2,000 hp (~1,500 kW) total output. It will be able to accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-60 mph) in under two seconds and ultimately go past the 400 km/h (250 mph) mark. Its battery will be enough for a 500 km (310 mi) long trip.

The car will get a digital instrument panel, two analog controllers, and two giant displays where multimedia, navigation and useful runtime information will be displayed.

The design of the vehicle will be inspired by some of Pininfarina’s most renowned works: the 1970 Ferrari 512S, 1947 Cisitalia 202, and 2008 Sintesi.

The Pininfarina PF0 will be issued in a limited series of just 150 cars and go on sale in 2020 or later.
