The sport car named Polestar 1 has debuted at the recently concluded Goodwood Festival of Speed. Joachim Rydholm, company’s chief test driver, said the vehicle astounded him with its performance and was an unforgettable experience.
“I have never experienced such an adrenaline rush before in the 20 years of my career,” he said. “The manufacturer has managed to achieve outstanding performance with perfectly tuned suspension, something the buyers will come to appreciate.”
The sporty vehicle comes equipped with a double-charged, four-cylinder gasoline engine and two electric motors. The total output of the unit borders on 600 hp (445 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb·ft) of torque, the latter being especially impressive. Its all-electric driving range is manufacturer-estimated at 150 km / 93 mi.
The Polestar 1 series will be released next year. Prices will be available later.
