The
image of the stern of a compact SUV appeared in the social network Instagram.
Judging
by the picture, the car is made in the style of Concept 40.1, presented in
2016. Volvo said that the crossover will be available in three customary for
the followers of the brand variations of Momentum, R-Design and Inscription.
The novelty will receive another optics and massive air intakes. As an
individualization, customers will be offered not only a monophonic, but also a
two-tone color of the body.
According
to available information, the crossover will be driven by a three-cylinder
gasoline engine in volume of 1.5 liters, or a hybrid version with a capacity of
250 horsepower.
The
novelty will be built on the modular platform SMA, which the company developed
in conjunction with the concern Geely. Two years on the basis of the XC40 will
be released the first ever electric car.
The
exact date of the crossover premiere is not yet known, but it is likely that
the Volvo XC40 will finally be dismantled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in
September 2017.
