The BMW 7 E 65 – the fourth generation of the 7 Series – came out as long ago as 2001. The car looked quite a bit different from its predecessor and introduced us to a number of brand-new technologies, including the iDrive infotainment system, active roll bars, an electronic smart key, and a night vision system.
Three years after the premiere, car tuner Alpina brought out its own version of the car with plenty of improvements. To begin with, the vehicle received a new 4.4-liter V8 turbo engine, new bumpers, a spoiler wing, 21-inch wheels, sport seats and a redesigned instrument panel. The so-called Alpina B7 is now on sale for mere U.S. $18,750.
Among other things, this particular Alpina features tinted windows and an original interior finishing scheme with much black leather and natural wood involved throughout. All seats are heated, and the front ones are ventilated, too. On-board tech includes sat-nav, parking assist, Logic7 sound system with a 6xCD changer, etc.
The Alpina B7 has 500 hp (373 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb×ft) of torque under its command. It accelerates 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and ultimately reaches 300 km/h.
