A car enthusiast has spotted and photographed this Jannarelly Design-1 roadster sitting on an open parking lot in Dubai, UAE. A car like this is an exceptionally rare sight even in the Emirates.
The sports vehicle began as a joint project of Anthony Jannarelly and Frederic Juillot. Inspired by the retro cars of the 1960s, it was marketed as the vehicle of choice for “car lovers in search of style, self-customization and performance.”
Each Jannarelly Design-1 came equipped with a 3.5-liter, naturally aspirated V6 engine rated at 308 hp (230 kW) and 371 Nm (277 lbft) of torque. The 2018 spec vehicle is 17 hp (13 kW) stronger than that. This might look as not much, but consider that the entire car weighs 810 kilograms (1,785 lb).
The car needs around four seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h (60 mph) and tops out at 220 km/h (135 mph).
Prices begin at U.S. $55,000.
