The Formula One team known as Red Bull Racing has unveiled their new ride for the next season. The vehicle, which goes under the name RB14, sports livery that’s black and blue, but the team says it is subject to change later. We’ll be able to see it in its final form during a special event held before winter test drives in Spain.
In accordance with the latest safety requirements, RB14 comes equipped with Halo – a means of head protection for the main driver. In order to compensate for the added weight, the vehicle had to drop its T-wings and the rear-mounted ‘shark fin’.
The first driver to pilot the new RB14 will be Daniel Ricciardo. He’ll man the vehicle during the ‘shooting days’ when journalists usually take photos and record videos before the event. He won’t be able to travel a total of over 100 kilometers (62 miles) in his new car without breaking the F1 rules, though.
