Rimac begins testing advanced self-drive tech

Croatian car manufacturer Rimac Automobili has posted a video on Facebook which has a driverless car based on the Renault Grand Scenic MPV running around on its own.

The vehicle is equipped with Rimac’s own self-drive system guided by an AI. It finds its way around using its 6 radars, 8 cameras, a measuring unit, 12 ultrasonic sensors and a GPS receiver. The Renault Grand Scenic collects six terabytes of data every hour. The data gets analyzed by Croatian engineers, who then make necessary adjustments.

In addition to the above, Rimac Automobili is testing its Virtual Trainer feature it is going to offer with the upcoming 1,900 hp / 1,417 kW strong C_Two hypercar. The vehicle will also support the autonomous driving mode.
