Mail.Ru Group starts ridesharing service

In Russia French BlaBlaCar project had one more competitor since this week. The large Internet holding Mail.Ru Group presented the ridesharing BeepCar service. Drivers and their future fellow travelers can be registered on the website and go to a joint trip, having divided its cost among themselves. The idea isn't new, however Russia with its spaces and not the cheapest public transport remains is a very perspective market for similar services. For example, the trip with the fellow traveler will cost almost twice cheaper than the train ticket following the same route. Experts note, that the further growth of popularity of a ridesharing will lead to the necessity of its state regulation in the nearest future.

At the moment BeepCar is available to users from Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. Except the official site, applications for iOS and Android are also launched.
