Spyker supercars secure Russian funding

Boris Rotenberg and Michael Pessis are investing in Spyker, a Netherlands-based automotive company specializing in supercar production.

The press release emphasizes that the funding will enable Spyker to make a comeback in the professional motorsports world and resume the production of road-legal supercars.

The investment plan includes bringing two models to the market: C8 Preliator (see the two photos) and the B6 Venator (watch the video a quick demo). Aside from that, the company will be able to work out the kinks on its unreleased D8 Peking-to-Paris model, which is a hybrid, and hopefully bring it to production, too.

Commenting on the news, the Russian businessmen said they intended to bring Spyker on par with the world’s best supercar makers.
