The revised version of the Subaru WRX STI delivered
the record of the "Northern loop" of the Nürburgring among the
sedans. The Japanese company decided to share this event by placing an
appropriate video on the Internet.
The all-wheel drive Subaru WRX STI Type RA NBR
Special, modernized by Prodrive, managed to make a record race in 6 minutes and
57.5 seconds. And this is due to the fact that the "charged" sedan is
equipped with a two-liter opposed turbo-motor with 600 "horses",
which works in tandem with a sports sequential gearbox with rally settings.
To all the car got a racing suspension, an adjustable
rear wing with a drag reduction system, eight-piston brakes and a symmetrical
all-wheel drive with an active center differential.
It is also worth noting that the Subaru WRX STI Type
RA NBR Special can not be considered a serial version of the 4-door.
