The Chinese automaker Techrules has said it would come to the International Motor Show in Geneva, Switzerland with a new hybrid racing vehicle known as the Ren RS. It has also published the first teaser image of the new hypercar on the official website.
The street-legal modification of the same vehicle, known simply as the Techrules Ren, was introduced last year. Its racing counterpart gets the suffix ‘RS’, a new aerodynamic body kit, and a single seat for the driver. It also features a diesel/electric hybrid engine.
The top-performance model of Techrules Ren comes equipped with as many as six electric motors together capable of 1,305 hp and 2,340 Nm of torque. The diesel engine serves purely as a power generator for the battery set.
With a drivetrain like this, the vehicle accelerates to 100 km/h (62 mph) in mere 2.5 seconds and reaches the manufacturer-set speed limit at 330 km/h (205 mph).
