The Hyperion XP-1 is a hydrogen supercar due out in August 2020

Hyperion Motors, a startup headquartered in Orange, California, has released another teaser video of its XP-1 hydrogen car along with the reveal date: August 2020.

The vehicle remains wrapped in mystery with no technical details whatsoever revealed so far. The official description of the company states it is working on hydrogen and fuel cell-based engine technology. The website also mentions “NASA developments” and “space technology for the road.”

The first Hyperion XP-1 prototype came out for tests five years ago. The company reports it had hoped to unveil the car at the New York International Auto Show, which was cancelled due to the Covid-19 lockdown.
