U.S.-based Valdal Cars has held a reveal event dedicated to its first-ever model to reach mass production. The Valdal One is a racecar that takes advantage of carbon monocoque and body and complies with the current FIA regulations.
The vehicle also sports modular aerodynamic parts which can be reconfigured or removed “on the fly”. This unique design enables it to pass curves at extreme speeds while successfully withstanding gravity loads of up to 3g.
The Valdal One weighs in at just 555 kilograms (1,223 pounds) and features purpose-built push-rod suspension, adjustable shock absorbers, performance brakes with monoblock supports, active roll bars, and 18-inch wheels clad in Pirelli pro racing sleeks.
The car comes powered with a two-liter, four-cylinder engine manufacturer-rated at 340 hp (254 kW) – or 560 hp (418 kW) if you choose the R trim version. This might not seem like much, but consider that it effectively rivals the Koenigsegg Regera in terms of power-to-weight ratio.
As far as on-board equipment and options are concerned, the Valdal One lists an active telemetry system and a set of diagnostic sensors covering all vital units and components.
Prices will begin at U.S. $119,700.
