The network has the official images of the new station wagon BMW 5 Series Touring 2018, which will be unveiled at Geneva auto show in March. Sales of the car will begin this summer.
The new version of the model diminished in its weight by 100 kg and at the same time increased in size: the length is now 4943 mm, width - 1868 mm, and height - 1498 mm. It became more spacious inside the car, lifting capacity (720 kg) and luggage compartment (570 liters or 1700 liters with folded rear seats next) are also increased.
The exterior of a novelty reminds the design of sedan of the same series. Only the rear end of the body changed most of all. The improved aerodynamics will allow to reduce fuel consumption and volume of harmful exhausts. The station wagon is also equipped with with gesture recognition system, parctronic with remote control, electric drive of the fifth door with an opening sensor.
Scale of motors is presented by four turbo engines: petrol of 2 l and 3 l with a power of 252 and 340 horsepowers respectively and turbodiesels of 2 l (190 hp) and 3 l (265 hp). 6-speed "mechanics" or 8-staged "automatic" will work with them in a tandem . A drive gear is rear or full (the last is provided in top variations). Back pneumatic suspension, leveling the body, is available in all versions.
