Then the screen showed the future embodied in flying skateboards, self-lacing sneakers and, of course, flying cars. Now, some things from the movie "future" become a reality.
So the company Airbus shared on the Internet the first photos of several concepts that received the working name Vahana project. Interestingly, all prototypes are active, and their main "chip", no doubt, can be called the function of vertical take-off and landing, which are provided with special rotary screws.
Now all the concepts are in California, where they have to begin the passage of sea trials. It is expected that the first flights of unique cars from Airbus will be held before the end of this year, and in the series of cars will reach by 2020.
By the way, interesting is the fact that the concept of a flying car is currently being developed by more than a dozen companies around the world. Do not stay aloof and the eternal competitor Airbus - the American corporation Boeing.
Also worthy of attention is the joint project of Uber and NASA. They signed a document that involves working together to create a flying taxi.
