The new serial electric car
of the Spanish brand will appear on the world market under the name Born. The
name is already registered in the European Patent Office, according to Autocar,
citing its own source. The name of the car was in honor of the eponymous modern
district of Barcelona.
The company said that before
the end of the decade in their model line will be two electric vehicles. The
first is likely to be Seat e-Mii, the concept of which was presented in
February this year. Its release is expected in 2019. The second in turn will be
the ecological hatchback Seat Born. He will not go to the series until 2020.
It is known that the
electric hatchback Seat will be built on the basis of the modular architecture
of Volkswagen specially designed for electric cars. Under the hood of the
electric car will be an 81-horsepower engine. As it is supposed, on one charge
Seat Born can pass a distance of 500 kilometers.
