Reiter Engineering GmbH & Co Kg, a racing team and car maker in Germany, has announced a soon-to-be-released update for their latest KTM X-Bow racecar, which will now comply with the GT4 specifications.
According to the manufacturer, the update primarily aims at making the car considerably cheaper to maintain.
Among other things, the next edition of the sports-oriented vehicle got a gearbox, shock absorbers and wheel mounts with extended life cycle. In addition to that, engine performance is now controlled by a new Motec control unit. As a result, the car now costs as little as four-something Euro per kilometer traveled. Just how much of an improvement over the original state of things this is remains undisclosed, however.
The new KTM X-Bow GT4 will be offered with a price tag of 152,360 Euro. Reiter Engineering expects to produce 15 such cars before spring 2018, all of which are already reserved in paid pre-orders.
