The Bavarian autoconcern on
its Facebook page published an intriguing teaser of its next concept, which
will form the basis of a new open sports car. And its development is conducted
jointly with Toyota.
The image shows the outline
of the car in the open body of the tag. While the novelty is very few details.
It is assumed that the sports car will receive a wide range of engines, including
a powerful M-series unit.
The BMW roadster concept
will be presented in mid-August in the framework of the Pebble Beach Concours
d'Elegance in California. It is the annual ัontest that is the favorite
platform for the presentation of exclusive machines and concepts.
It is known that the model
will go to the conveyor line only in 2018, and even in 2019 - not before the
release of the new BMW 8-Series coupe.
Remind that, the two-door roadster
BMW Z4 was produced in 2012 and was withdrawn from production in 2016. Whether
the novelty leaves the same name or the manufacturer decides to change it - at
the moment remains a mystery.
