Vietnam-based automaker President has shared another portion of information regarding its impending exclusive SUV, the President. The car is based around the BMW X5 (F15) and is coming with a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 under the hood and plenty of premium equipment in the base spec.
The engine links to an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system and makes 420 hp (313 kW) and up to 624 Nm (460 lb-ft) of torque. This enables the car to sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 6.8 seconds and only reach its limits at around 300 km/h (186 mph), the company reports.
Inside the cabin, the President features such expensive trim elements as Nappa leather and wood veneer details made in Italy. A 12.3-inch infotainment display is included in all trims, as is a 13-speaker audio system, a panoramic sunroof with UV protection, a wireless charger and a range of electronic assists.
The production volume will be limited to 500 units. Prices will start from the equivalent of U.S. $164,000.
