The Formula One racing team Williams has recently revealed its latest vehicle – the FW41 – which will participate in the tournament of 2018. It will be piloted by Sergey Sirotkin, a 22-year old Russian driver.
The car has lost its whale tail in this latest version, but received a new cockpit protection device known as Halo. The arrangement, which is supposed to prevent head injuries during the race, requires a lengthy installation process during which the vehicle has to be readjusted to account for a new center of mass.
As such, Williams will be headed by Lance Stroll (primary) and Sergey Sirotkin (secondary) for the 2018 F1 tournament. After failing to surpass the Russian pilot during the screening tests for the season, Robert Kubica has settled for a position of a reserve and development driver.
Initial F1 test drives will begin on February, 26 in Barcelona, Spain, while the Royal Race itself will commence on March, 22 in Australia.
