Hot Wheels may be an extremely popular seller of toy cars and tracks for them to be driven on, but YouTube channel Backyard Racing opens up a whole new perspective on this form of entertainment.
Enthusiasts built what looks like a giant, meticulously designed, richly detailed track starting near a treetop in the backyard. It takes over three minutes for a toy car to complete it start to finish, so you would be better off just watching the video and seeing for yourself. Two cameras were used for the filming: one mounted on the car itself and the other one giving a panoramic overview of the whole track.
Aside from the tree branches, the car goes over the house roof and through a tunnel. Upon reaching ground level, it accelerates enough to pass through a few roller coaster loops and then gets hooked up again by a special lifting device (but really just a fishing rod). It comes to a halt above a pair of swimming pools for kids.
