Zagato to restyle a dated Lamborghini Gallardo

Zagato, an Italian coachbuilder and total design center, will release a two-door L595 Zagato convertible model based on the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante supercar which debuted four years ago.

In turn, the latter was essentially an overhauled Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera which rolled off the band almost a decade ago. The vehicle received a new body and interior design, but retained its 5.2-liter, naturally-aspirated V10 engine with 570 hp (420 kW) and 540 Nm (400 lb·ft) of torque. It could accelerate 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.9 seconds.

Based on the image provided, the new Lamborghini Gallardo L595 Zagato convertible is going to be a purely aesthetic re-imagination of the LP 570-4 Spyder Performante.
