Motorhomes and RVs have been on the rise in the recent years, with people developing a taste for vehicles that enable them to travel thousands of kilometers while staying at home. This is the first time we see a camper abandoned on a sandy shallow in the middle of a river, though.
According to witnesses from Evansville, Indiana, the trailer was not there a week ago. It only cropped up on the Ohio river bank on July 21, 2022, and no one has come to claim it since. Investigations yielded no indications as to who it could belong to or whether it was even fit for living in.
Over the course of the week, the camper grew into a major tourist landmark. People are now flocking to the beach and ride motorboats to the shallow to examine the abandoned hull in person.
We are also intrigued by this development and will let you know when (if?) the owner is found. By then, we will hopefully know how the trailer made it there.
