Acura has officially introduced CDX Sport Hybrid, a China-only compact crossover vehicle powered by a hybrid drivetrain.
The new Acura CDX Sport Hybrid utilizes the revised Honda HR-V/Vezel chassis as basis. It features a hybrid unit consisting of a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with 184 hp (137 kW) and 315 Nm (232 lb·ft) of torque and an electric motor. The resulting effective engine strength is manufacturer-rated at 215 ‘horses’ (160 kW).
The Acura CDX Sport Hybrid supports three drive modes: gasoline-only, power-only, and both. It’s worth pointing out that the car only allows switching to gasoline at higher speeds.
