Acura announced the return of the Integra model in November 2021 by introducing a pre-production liftback based on the Honda Civic Si. Back when it was unveiled, we could only see the exterior, but cabin photos were made during the Rolex 24 race in Daytona this weekend.
The car was exhibited at the race for the entire weekend, so everyone could have a good look at it. Prepare to be disappointed if you expected originality, though: it is basically the same Civic Si. This covers the layout, the center console with the six-speed manual shift (albeit slightly shorter), and the same steering wheel. The seats are slightly different and the Acura badges are new, but that’s about it.
Stay tuned for the official premiere this spring.
As a side note, Acura took part in the Rolex 24 race and won it. Driver Hélio Castroneves scored the most laps piloting his Acura ARX-05 Daytona No. 60.
