Carscoops is reporting that the new Acura Integra will not be getting the SH-AWD system many thought it would. Apparently, a dealership in Wisconsin miscommunicated this bit of information when introducing the car.
Acura of Brookfield mentioned SH-AWD in the feature list of the new Integra, leading many fans of the marque to assume that the info is 100% official. Acura has now contacted Carscoops and asked to disregard the communication as erroneous. As such, it is now settled that the Integra will only be available with a front-wheel drive system and no other options.
The pre-production car debuted in last November based on Honda Civic platform and a 1.5-liter turbo engine (power/torque pending). Sales in the United States will start in mid-2022.
