The sports car maker has officially confirmed that the image is real, but only represents a part of the full roadmap for 2020-2022. It mentions the next generation of the MDX and ILX, as well as three high-performance versions of the Type S.
In all likelihood, the next iteration of the Acura MDX will ship with a three-liter V6 in the top spec, rated at 400 hp (300 kW) or close to that. A new compact sedan/saloon with FWD will be coming to replace the current ILX model. It will not be called ‘ILX’ and will be different from the Honda Civic in terms of tech.
All of the abovementioned cars are being designed with the North American market in mind first and foremost.
