The Japanese premium automotive brand Acura has launched the sales of its latest MDX Sport Hybrid SUV in the U.S.A. The car has received quite a few upgrades along with a wider body color palette.
The most affordable U.S. Acura MDX Sport Hybrid costs $53,095 (look for the Technology Package version). The same car with the Advanced Package trim would be $59,145 and above.
The new Acura MDX Sport Hybrid comes with a hybrid engine which comprises a 3.0-liter gasoline V6 with 257 hp and three electric motors. The latter sport a rather unusual layout: two are mounted on the rear axle, whereas the third is built into the 7-speed DCT. The total power output of this set-up equals 321 hp with 391 Nm torque.
The updated Acura MDX Sport Hybrid interior features stainless-steel pedals, precious wood inlets, and an advanced infotainment system with a large sensor display.
Both six- and seven-seat versions of the vehicle are available for purchase and come with a large number of driving assistance features.
