Acura launches refreshed MDX series

Car manufacturer Acura has released an update of its MDX crossover/SUV series. The new vehicles come with better on-board tech, more options and a sporty A-Spec variant.

The MDX A-Spec series features an aggressive-looking body kit, round exhaust pipes and exclusive grey 20” wheels. On the inside, there are leather-draped sport seats (red and black colors available), chamois trimming on the door panels, a redesigned dashboard and door sill plates with the model name written on them.

The entire family now comes in a broader range of colors and offers a number of new interior trimming options, including natural wood.

The facelifted Acura MDX series ships with a choice between a 3.5L V6 gasoline engine and a hybrid drivetrain dominated by a 3.0L V6 rated at 257 hp (192 kW). The automatic transmission has been reworked, enabling the car to start from the 2nd gear and switch gears faster and smoother.

The gasoline-powered Acura MDX can already be purchased in the USA starting at around $44,000. The hybrid series will follow next month.
